Let me give you a glimpse inside the story of Taylor McKenzie, a solitary witch who talks to animals and writes mystery novels from her little cabin tucked away in eastern Kentucky. Taylor lives alone to keep her secret of being a mystery writer and witch from as many prying eyes and people who don't understand her gifts when along comes a handsome romance writer who has lost his belief in love. With a meddlesome group of animals including a three-legged dog named Brutus, a pair of goats called Jack and Jill, a wise owl in her barn who goes by the name of Aristotle and the masked bandit Happy, she doesn't stand a chance. When she and her neighbor Ben are heading home from a Christmas Eve snowstorm, he learns her secret. Will it push them together or will he run for the hills? Find out by reading One Magick Yule! It's already up for pre-sale on Kindle, Barnes and Noble, iTunes, and Kobo right now!
After this grueling month, I think I'm going to take a break for a little bit and start deciding which stories I'm going to bring to you next year. My goal is to release 6 new novels for your reading enjoyment, but I'm not sure how many will be romances and how many will be political thrillers under the pen name Ann Nevada. But you will find out first either by subscribing to my newsletter by dropping me an email at email@example.com or following my blog or Facebook page. So keep your eyes peeled!
So, you may ask what I'm going to do for the rest of the month. Well, my plan is to bake up some Christmas cookies, try to finish up my shopping which I haven't even started yet, start planning out my garden for spring, and sign up for ground school. Yes, this author has a dream to get her pilot's license and 2019 is the year I'm going to start. I'm also going to figure out a place I haven't ever traveled to before and make my plans for that trip as well as my annual jaunt to the Black Hills and Deadwood for Wild Deadwood Reads. I'm hoping a couple of my author friends are going to be able to join me for one wild road trip in June. I'm also sort of missing my crafting and have a handful of projects I've been gradually working on that I need to get finished so that I can display them proudly in my home or give them as gifts.
I'm also looking forward to a new year of classes at the Historic Camp Chesterfield. For those of you who don't know this, I am studying Spiritualism with the lofty goal of perhaps someday becoming an ordained minister of Spiritualism. I've already learned so much in the last two years but have so much farther to go. However, I have met some really wonderful new friends at Camp and am looking forward to seeing them all in the upcoming season of classes which start in February. It's been quite a journey of self-discovery which has led to a level of peace and confidence I never knew existed.
Well, my dear friends, it's getting late and I still have about three chapters to write before Friday gets here so me and Oscar are going to curl up in bed and try to get some sleep before we start our new day tomorrow. (In case you don't remember, Oscar is my dog...not a sexy man...) Love, blessings and best wishes for a wonderful December!
