Welcome to Indiana...where it's 90 degrees on Monday and Tuesday...and 44 on Thursday...not to mention we got our first frost last night and the rain tonight had the consistency of wet snow! We had severe thunderstorms on Saturday night and sunshine on Sunday! But that's quite all right...I like variety...how about you?
Let's talk about variety....or multifariousness...heterogeneity...in other words, the absence of uniformity or monotony. Who likes a monotonous life anyhow? Not me! Never a dull moment...and if it is dull...it's because I needed a break from the chaos of a variety filled life.
When it comes to food...I've tried just about anything put in front of me once...sushi I love...oyster shooters I hate...beef heart I can eat...beef liver I can't stomach. I like Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Indian, Mexican, Irish, Cajun and now can even boast Brazilian food as a recent favorite but I'd really like to try French sometime. I've learned to cook traditional Irish stew with a pint of Guinness to make it rich and served it alongside soda bread. I can fix a mean dish of Italian lasagna and some kick a$$ red beans and rice with gumbo. Thankfully, I've already had my dinner or I'd be making myself hungry right now. But, for those of you who follow my blog and would like to get some of my exclusive recipes...email me at [email protected] and sign up for my newsletter and you will get at least one of my recipes each month to try out yourself...and I promise, they are easy!
I've been shuffling a lot of things this past week...Brazilian birthday dinner on Saturday night, I took a trance/mediumship class on Sunday, Monday I read the latest Nora Roberts novel "Shelter in Place" which was excellent! Tuesday I worked at the final edits for my upcoming new release (re-release under a different title) "Vincent-Blood Retribution" which is up for pre-order on most e-book sites and will be released on 10/31 along with "Jude - Blood Reckoning" and "Andrew - Blood Reward". I'm really excited about this series and I'm proud of the covers I designed all on my own. I'd like to hear what you think about the cover for "Vincent". And if you like vampires, this set is darkly erotic and intensely seductive...if you would like to get a copy in advance to review drop me an email at [email protected] and I'll send you one if you promise to review on Amazon by October 31. In addition to all of this, I've helped build a shed and did some fall lawn clean up...I've worked my regular job...and I've had a touch of the flu.
What other varieties do I like? I love to travel to remote locations with some peace and quiet but I also like to go to cities such as New Orleans, Las Vegas, Washington D.C. and NYC...wouldn't want to live there but it's an interesting change...right? I think my favorite would have to be New Orleans for the historical ambiance and Las Vegas for the variety of activities...we've seen Carrot Top, Criss Angel, a Cirque du Soleil show, Taming the Caveman, Marriage Can Be Murder and played in a late night Texas Hold 'Em tournament...shot machine guns and saw the Beatles Show at the Miracle Mile. In New Orleans I celebrated by double nickel birthday with some fabulous author friends, took in a drag show and went to a masquerade ball and wore my first formal gown!
As far as music...I'm pretty much a country music, southern rock, and classic rock type of girl...I don't mind some classical or Celtic thrown in...but I'll leave the rest alone. I even learned just enough piano, guitar, clarinet, French horn and drums to tell myself I'm better off listening to music as opposed to playing it...but I will sing along with the radio in the car or when working at home...as long as nobody else can hear me!
If you have read this far...and I hope you have...drop me a comment here or send me an email and tell me what kind of variety you have in your life...I love hearing from my readers and that means YOU!!
Take care until next time!!
